Celebrating Panda Cares Day and $200M Raised for Children’s Hospitals!

Today, Children’s Nebraska is proud to join in celebrating Panda Cares Day, the anniversary of the Panda Cares Foundation—Panda Express’ incredible philanthropic arm!

Every August 8, Panda Express celebrates this special day to honor their commitment to supporting children’s health and well-being through their partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. And this year, we’re thrilled to celebrate a major milestone: Panda Express has raised over $200 million for CMN Hospitals nationwide!

These funds support Panda Cares Centers of Hope and other vital programs that help meet the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual needs of pediatric patients. Kids across the country—and right here at Children’s—continue to benefit from this generosity in meaningful and lasting ways.

Since 2008, Panda Express has raised over $1.1M for Children’s Nebraska. In 2023, Children’s officially opened the Panda Cares Center of Hope, inspiring and promoting healing by providing specially curated programs that address each child’s entire wellbeing, including their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs. Programs offered at Children’s Panda Cares Center of Hope include therapeutic play, art therapy, meditation and counseling services, designed to give patients the courage and strength to thrive.
